Shark Exchange now supports Instant UPI deposits, allowing you to fund your trading wallet quickly and securely using your UPI app. This article explains how UPI deposits work, step-by-step instructions, limits, and important guidelines to ensure a smooth experience.


What is UPI Deposit on Shark Exchange?

UPI deposits allow you to add funds instantly to your Shark Exchange wallet using your registered bank account via UPI apps such as BHIM, PayTM, Google Pay, PhonePe, CRED, etc.

Once the payment is completed successfully, the amount is credited instantly to your Shark Exchange wallet.


How to Make a UPI Deposit on Shark Exchange

Follow the steps below to deposit funds using UPI:

Step 1: Select UPI Deposit

  • Open the Shark Exchange app or website

  • Go to Wallet → Deposit

  • Select UPI

  • Click “Try Now”


Step 2: Enter Deposit Amount

  • Enter the amount you want to deposit ( Minimum Rs. 200 )

  • Maximum limit: ₹1,00,000 per day per user

  • Ensure the entered amount is correct

⚠️ You must pay exactly the same amount you enter on this screen.


Step 3: Proceed to UPI App

  • Click Proceed

  • A UPI intent will automatically open

  • Choose your preferred UPI app ( Ex. BhimUPI, PayTM, Google pay, Phonepe, Cred etc )   

  • Complete the payment from your UPI app

    Note : Please note that individual bank UPI applications are not supported for deposits.
    Eg: ICICI UPI, HDFC UPI, SBI YONO, etc.


Step 4: Instant Credit

If the payment is successful and valid:

  • Funds are credited instantly to your Shark Exchange wallet

  • You can start trading immediately


Important Guidelines (Must Read)

1. Use Only Your Registered Bank Account

  • The UPI payment must be made from the bank account registered with Shark Exchange

  • The bank account name must match your KYC details

❌ Payments from any other bank account (friend, family, secondary account, business account, etc.) are not allowed.


2. Remitter & Bank Mismatch

If you make a payment from a different bank account:

  • A remitter mismatch occurs

  • The deposit will be rejected

  • The amount will be refunded automatically within 1–2 working days


3. Exact Amount Is Mandatory

  • You must pay exactly the same amount entered on the Shark Exchange platform

  • Partial payments, excess payments, or different amounts are not supported

  • Mismatched amounts may result in rejection and refund


4. Daily Deposit Limit

  • Maximum UPI deposit limit: ₹1,00,000 per day

  • This limit resets daily


What Happens If My Deposit Fails?

A UPI deposit may fail due to:

  • Payment made from a non-registered bank account

  • Amount mismatch

  • UPI app or bank-side failure

  • Network or timeout issues


Refund Timeline

  • Failed or rejected deposits are automatically refunded

  • Refunds are processed within 1–2 working days

  • The amount is credited back to the original bank account


Tips for a Smooth UPI Deposit Experience

✔ Ensure your UPI app is linked to your registered bank account
✔ Double-check the deposit amount before proceeding
✔ Complete the payment without switching apps excessively
✔ Avoid retrying multiple times if a payment is already in progress
